Democratic Emanuel Chris Welch's election campaign committee, The People for Emanuel "Chris" Welch, spent $197,665 in the first quarter, according to committee expenditure records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Welch's committee spent the most on postage in the quarter, with 90.1% of this total ($47,785) going to US Postmaster in Springfield. Table 1 below shows the distribution of how Welch's committee spent its money in the first quarter.
