Report: La Grange spent $16,199 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at La Grange School District 105 South is up 17.2 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,817 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,199 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1465 to 1363.

La Grange's spending in 2017-18 was 21.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
