State Senate race: Democrat Fine wins voter tally in Cook County

Laura Fine led Republican Joan McCarthy Lasonde in votes cast in Cook County for the District 9 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Fine appeared to outpace Lasonde by a margin of 43.1 percent on Tuesday in the county.

In 2014, Democrat Daniel Biss, ran uncontested, so no comparison data is available.
