City of Northlake City Council met September 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call:

Present: Alderman Straube, Feldmann, Contreras,

Padilla, Werba, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Gonzalez

Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Others Present: Debra Raida, Deputy City Clerk

Mark Sterk, Attorney Jay Militello, Deputy Chief Of Police Dale Roberts, Superintendent Public Works

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on August 13, 2018. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held August 13, 2018; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

Motion To Accept The Minutes Of The August 13, 2018 City Council Meeting Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Padilla, Werba, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Gonzalez

Nays: None

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried

Alderman Padilla made a motion to approve the engineer’s recommendation of Chicagoland Paving Contractors Inc. bid in the amount of $224,900.00 for the North Avenue Frontage Road Resurfacing Project; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Padilla, Werba, Grochowski And Patti

Absent: Alderman Gonzalez

Motion To Approve The Engineer’s Recommendation Of

Chicagol and paving Contractors Inc. Bid In The Amount Of $224,900.00 For The North Avenue Frontage Road Resurfacing Project Carried

Alderman Padilla made a motion to counteroffer in the amount of $42,000.00 for the sale of 205 S. 46th; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Absent: Alderman Gonzalez

Motion To Counteroffer In The Amount Of $42,000.00 For The Sale Of 205 S. 45TH Carried

Alderman Padilla made a motion to approve the retainer service agreement with Latent Designs for 28th S. Wolf Rd.; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Approve The Retainer Service Agreement With Latent Designs For 28TH S. Wolf Rd. Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the engineer’s recommendation of Visu-Sewer of Illinois bid in the amount of $73,755.00 for Trinity Park Vista Storm Sewer Lining; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Alderman Padilla made a motion to approve Resolution R-16-2018; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Approve Resolution R-16-2018; A Resolution Approving An Intergovernmental Agreement With Metropoltian Water Reclamation District Carried

Alderman Feldmann made a motion to approve Ordinance O20-2018; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Motion To Approve Ordinance O-20-2018; An Ordinance Approving A Plat Of Vacation For A Parking Easement (58 East North Avenue) Carried

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
