Village of Broadview Board of Trustees met June 21. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Call to Order


The Regular Board Meeting of Thursday, June 21st, 2018 was called to order by Mayor Thompson at 7:05  p.m, in the Council Chambers at 2350 South 25th Avenue, Broadview, IL 60155.

Roll Call

Upon roll call by Kevin McGrier, Village Clerk, the following answered Present: Trustee(s) J. Abraham, J. Tierney, V. Horne, and Mayor Thompson. Absent: S. Jones, J. Brown-Marino, J. Ealey *Please note that Trustee Jones did reply and planned on joining us electronically due to being out of town but couldn’t join. Trustees Ealey and Brown did not confirm attendance.

There being a quorum the meeting was called to order.

Pledge of Allegiance to Flag

Everyone remained standing and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

Moment of Silence

Everyone joined in a moment of silence.

          IV. New Business:

     A.  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LAUTERBACH & AMEN, LLP REGARDING ACTUARIAL SERVICES FOR THE VILLAGE OF BROADVIEW, COUNTY OF COOK, STATE OF ILLINOIS.

Motion to approve by Trustee Tierney and Seconded by Trustee Horne

Discussion: Trustee Tierney acknowledged that he has worked with the company before and they are a solid company performing good services. Representative from Lauterbach explained the agreement.

Motion Carries: 4-0

     B. A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER TO ASHBURN POWER & LIGHT FOR CERTAIN ELECTRICAL WORK RELATED TO THE RENOVATION OF THE BROADVIEW POLICE STATION AND THE IKE 911 CENTER FOR THE VILLAGE OF BROADVIEW, COUNTY OF COOK, STATE OF ILLINOIS.

Motion to approve by Trustee Horne and Seconded by Trustee Tierney

A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER TO GINO’S HEATING AND PLUMBING FOR CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION AND SITE UTILITIES SERVICES RELATED TO THE RENOVATION OF THE BROADVIEW POLICE STATION AND THE IKE 911 CENTER FOR THE VILLAGE OF BROADVIEW, COUNTY OF COOK, STATE OF ILLINOIS.

Motion to approve by Trustee Horne and Seconded by Trustee Tierney
