Village of Schiller Park President and Board of Trustees met June 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

I.Call To Order:

President Nick Caiafa called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.

II.Roll Call:

Upon a call of the roll by the Village Clerk, the following Elected Officials were:

Present: President Nick Caiafa, Trustees: Moses Diaz, Russel Klug, Tom Deegan, Robert Lima, Catherine Gorzynski, and Village Clerk Rosa Jos

Absent: Trustee Joan Golembiewski

President Caiafa declared a quorum present.

Also present: Joe Montana, Corporate Counsel, Brad Townsend, Village Manager, Bethany Nystrom, John Komorowski, and Pete Chiodo

III. Approval Of Minutes:

1. Trustee Gorzynski moved, seconded by Trustee Klug that the Minutes of the

Committee of the Whole Meeting of May 17th, 2018 be approved.

Upon roll call the following voted:

Aye: Trustees: Diaz, Klug, Lima, and Gorzynski

Absent: Trustee Golembiewski

Abstain: Trustee Deegan

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried.

IV. Public Member Wishing To Be Heard:

No one to be heard.

V. Business:

1. There was discussion on the following topics:

a. The State's food sanitation code changed causing inspection fees for existing businesses to increase. Consensus is that for now the Village will not increase inspections fees and will also update the health code to incorporate the new state code changes.

b. According to the Village Mechanic, there are squad cars from the Police Department that can be repurposed to other departments.

c. Staff is looking for direction from the Board to authorize them to negotiate the selling of the old Fire Engine.

d. There is no Scheduled Board meeting on July 5, 2018.

e. The Mayor gave an update on the Village and Tollway business matters.

f. The end time for Sound Amplification Permits will be changes from 8 p.m. to: 10:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday 11:00 p.m. Friday-Saturday

VI. Executive Session:

There was no executive session.

VII. Adjournment:

With no further business to conduct, it was moved by Trustee Lima, seconded by Trustee Gorzynski, that the Committee of the Whole Meeting be adjourned.

Upon roll call the following voted:

Aye: Trustees: Diaz, Klug, Deegan, Lima, and Gorzynski

Absent: Trustee Golembiewski

Nay: None

President Caiafa declared the motion carried and this Committee of the whole Meeting was adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
