During this time, the Village will also be making improvements at these intersections and to the Metra Station site. The village received grant funding from the West Suburban Mass Transit District (WSMTD) for aesthetic and safety improvements. Some of the work includes brick sidewalk crossings, new landscaping, wayfinding signage, public benches and more. These improvements will make the downtown business district more walkable and welcoming. They are just part of the many new developments and investments happening in downtown Brookfield. To learn more about the Village’s strategy to continue improvements downtown and all Brookfield, view the Village of Brookfield’s Comprehensive Plan, or contact the Village Planner, Emily Egan at (708) 485-1445
