Cost of college went up for all students at Dominican University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2017-18 at Dominican University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $32,530 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $960 more than the $31,570 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 483 students received grants or scholarships totaling $10.01 million and 392 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.34 million.

Including all undergraduates, 2,010 students used grants or scholarships totaling $36.9 million. Another 1,726 took out $12.38 million in federal student loans.
