Report: La Grange spent $15,454 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at La Grange School District 105 South is up 16 percent from five years ago, according to a West Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,358 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,454 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1430 to 1400.

La Grange's spending in 2016-17 was 19 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
