Analysis: La Grange pays $5.38 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lagrange Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.3 percent of the $1,362,574 the Lagrange Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.38 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, La Grange contributed $1,149,050 to the fund, which saw a $134,941 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $213,505, or 15.7 percent, in 2016. Another $19 came from other unspecified sources.
