Analysis: Broadview pays $4.47 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Broadview Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.3 percent of the $1,405,475 the Broadview Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.47 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Broadview contributed $1,143,219 to the fund, which saw a $79,851 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $255,331, or 18.2 percent, in 2016. Another $6,925 came from other unspecified sources.
