Lagrange FD responds to 59 fires in 2016

Lagrange Fire Department responded to 326 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Cook News.

The calls in Lagrange included 59 fires - 26 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 23 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $897,300 in fire loss - or about $15,208 per fire.

The department also received 267 false calls, including two malicious calls and 265 other false calls.
