The calls in Elmwood Park included 46 fires - 29 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and eight other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $365,290 in fire loss - or about $7,941 per fire.
The department also received 222 false calls, including three malicious calls and 219 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
The Elmwood Park Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 25 active employees and 28 retired or inactive employees, was $1,878,192 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $40,830 for every fire in 2016.
