City of Northlake City Council met March 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Sherwin asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call:

Present: Alderman Straube, Feldmann Contreras, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Others Present: Fred Paul, Treasurer

Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Nancy Pauletto, City Clerk

Mark Sterk, Attorney

Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police

Dale Roberts, Superintendent Public Works

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 6 2017. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held March 6, 2017; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.

Motion To Accept The Minutes Of The March 6, 2017 City Council Meeting Carried

Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the warrants and vouchers if and when the funds become available; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann Contreras, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Nays: None

Motion To Pay The Warrants And Vouchers Carried

Mayor Sherwin said that we have enough salt for next year. No need to purchase more.

Alderman Patti made a motion to approve Resolution R-04-2017; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Resolution R-04-2017; A Resolution Authorizing The “Invest In Cook County, Illinois” Application Carried

Mayor Sherwin presented Ordinance O-06-2017; An Ordinance Establishing Licensing Requirements for the Sale of Alcoholic Liquor and Amending Section 3-3-4-5D of the City Code of the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois. This will now apply to the class D licenses; food has to be prepared on the premises in a kitchen for a liquor license. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Ordinance O-06-2017; An Ordinance Establishing Licensing Requirements For The Sale Of Alcoholic Liquor And Amending Section 3-3-4-5D Of The City Code Of The City Of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois Carried

Alderman Contreras made a motion to approve Resolution R-05-2017; seconded by Alderman Padilla. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

Roll Call: Alderman Straube, Feldmann Contreras, Padilla, Werba, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti

Nays: None

Motion To Approve Resolution R-05-2017; A Resolution Authorizing Matching Fund Certification For The CDBG Application Of Resurfacing The South Frontage Road Carried

George Hainaut, 309 Medill, spoke about the Microsoft and their water usage.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Contreras. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor.
