The River Forest Public Library will have three openings on the Library Board of Trustees on the ballot for the April 4, 2017 election.
Interested candidates must be qualified registered voters and residents of River Forest. The ballot will consist of two full six-year terms as well as at the balance of a two-year term, which expires April 2019.
Filing dates for the seat are Dec. 12-19. The nomination petitions call for a completed Statement of Candidacy and a Statement of Economic Interest filed with the Cook County Clerk as well as a minimum of 25 signatures from registered voters from River Forest. The Illinois State Board of Elections offers complete candidate information.
