At a recent meeting, the Westchester Village Board decided to table a proposed parental-leave policy for now.

MINUTES OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING OF THE WILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE WILLAGE OF WESTCHESTER 26 JULY 2016
President Pulia called the meeting to order at 7:43 p.m.
Deputy Clerk Jessica Spencer called the roll: Present: Village President Sam D. Pulia and Trustees Angelo Calcagno, Carl Celestino, Celestine Reda, Nick Steker & Tom Yurkovich Also Present: Attorney Melissa Wolf, Chief Jim Adams, Chief Steve Stelter, Chris Webber, Robert Lewis, and Greg Hribal Absent: Trustee Frank Perry
NEW BUSINESS: A. E911 Dispatch Presentation - Cook County Sheriff's Police Dispatch Center - Mr. Hribal introduced Tom Flemming and Captain
Martin Bennett to discuss the services available through their dispatch center. B. Liquor License Application - Kiko's - President Pulia recommended the approval of the liquor license for Kiko Restaurant Group.
The Board agreed. C. Comprehensive Review of Municipal Code-Trustee Perry wasn't present to discuss, but President Pulia briefly discussed
forming a committee of trustees to review the codes and consider revisions.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Referendum Ouestions - Zoran Milutinovec from Kane McKenna Capital, Inc discussed the potential costs and risk to the
Village with posing various referendum questions and bonds in November. The Board expects the ord
B. Emergency Sirens - Mr. Hribal and Chief Adams stated that there was no update available. The Board directed Mr. Hribal to
seek out quotes from Fulton Technologies.
C. Proposed Parental Leave Policy - Ms. Spencer presented the data the Board requested at the last meeting, including other communities sick and short term disability policies. The Board discussed, and decided not to move forward with this police change at this time.
President Pulia called for public participation; there were no public comments.
Trustee Steker moved to Executive Session for the purpose of (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of a particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body
finds that an action is probable or imminent; Trustee Reda seconded the motion.
