Cook County Forest Preserve District Board OKs payments for invoices

Meeting 05

At a recent meeting, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners' Finance Subcommittee on Litigation approved payments for several invoices.

The Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners helps govern the use of the more than 69,000 acres of the preserve, which is the largest forest preserve district in the United States.

Absent: Commissioner Tobolski (1)

Also Present: Commissioners Moore and Moorison (2)

Chairman Silvestri asked the Secretary to the Board to call upon the registered public speakers, in accordance with Cook County Code.

COMMITTEE MINUTES

Approval of the minutes from the meeting of 4/12/2016

A motion was made by Commissioner Suffredin, seconded by Vice Chairman Fritchey, that this Committee Minutes be approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

Ayes: Chairman Silvestri, Vice Chairman Fritchey, Commissioners Boykin, Gainer, Schneider, and Suffredin, (6)

Absent: Commissioner Tobolski (1)

Submitted Invoices for Approval

by the Legal Department of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County

1. Invoices submitted for legal services April 1, 2016 through April 30, 2016 by Brothers &

Thompson, PC for various labor related matters.

2. Invoice submitted by Greene and Letts for legal services, March 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016 for labor related matters.

3. Invoices submitted for legal services, March 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016 by Jackson Lewis PC for labor related matters.

4. Invoices submitted by the Cook County State’s Attorney for services provided in

Administrative Hearings and General Matters beginning March 1, 2015 through

November 30, 2015.

A motion was made by Commissioner Boykin, seconded by Vice Chairman Fritchey that these Invoices be recommended for approval. The motion carried by the following vote:

Ayes: Chairman Silvestri, Vice Chairman Fritchey, Commissioners Boykin, Gainer, Schneider, and Suffredin, (6)

Absent: Commissioner Tobolski (1)

ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Commissioner Boykin, seconded by Commissioner Gainer, that this committee was adjourned. The motion carried by the following vote:

Ayes: Chairman Silvestri, Vice Chairman Fritchey, Commissioners Boykin, Gainer, Schneider, and Suffredin, (6)

Absent: Commissioner Tobolski (1)
