The Forest Park Village Board is expected to approve specifications and put out the call for contract bids for the 2016 Alley Improvement Program at its next meeting at 7 p.m. today in the Lower Level of Village Hall, 517 Desplaines Ave.
The council also will discuss reducing the number of police sergeants from eight to seven, as well as several service and usage agreements for upcoming events such as Ribfest.
The council also is expected to consider a motion calling on the Police Commission to fill lieutenant, sergeant and officer vacancies.
The council also will consider applying for a federal TIGER grant to fund local transportation infrastructure projects.
