The Westchester Fire and Police Commissioners Board approved promotions for firefighters George Taylor and Scot Stauber at a recent meeting.
Taylor will move from lieutenant to captain, and Stauber will move from firefighter to lieutenant.
The commission also discussed efforts to replenish eligibility lists for future promotions, as these two promotions were the last names on the lists.
Fire Chief Jim Adams said there are approximately 17 candidates who may be eligible to take the promotional tests, and that the department will continue working with contractor I/O Solutions to administer the exams sometime in the future.
