Dominican University's Mazzuchelli Honors Society is offering two new classes this semester covering pre-modern Italy and the Dominican order's search for truth.

“Power and Narrative: Reading Pre-Modern Italy” will be taught by history Professor David Perry and foreign-languages Professor Tonia Triggiano. The course will focus on visual and written accounts of early Florence and Venice, where the professors have worked extensively.

“Saints, Scholars and Activists: The Dominican Integration of Truth” will be taught by Sister Mary Paul McCaughey and will focus on specific individuals in the history of the Dominican order who contributed to the concept of the Dominican search for truth.

Though the courses were designed for the honors program, students not in the program can join the classes with instructor permission.
