For the thirtieth year in a row, the Village of Western Springs has been honored with the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) award for annual comprehensive financial reporting. This recognition is given for the fiscal year ending in 2023 and is considered the highest form of acknowledgment in government accounting and financial reporting.
The award aims to recognize excellence in transparency, disclosure, and readability of financial reports. "Congratulations to Director Mastandona and the Finance Department staff on this achievement," stated a representative from the village.
