The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is reaching out to residents to gather their input on traffic safety concerns as part of the Safe Travel for All initiative. This effort aims to shape the future of roadway safety in the region, with a particular focus on including experiences and ideas from Western Springs residents.

Residents are invited to participate by marking locations on a safety hotspot map, completing a survey, and attending upcoming events. Those who take part in the survey will be entered into a raffle for a $100 Visa gift card.

CMAP's Safe Travel for All is a comprehensive initiative targeting a reduction in traffic fatalities and serious injuries across Northeastern Illinois. Six counties—Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will—are involved in developing countywide safety action plans. These plans will highlight priority issues and suggest improvements for road safety affecting all users. Input from residents is crucial to shaping these plans effectively.
