The Brookfield Beautification Commission has announced the winner of its 2024 Holiday House Decorating Contest. The display at 9344 Jefferson Ave., created by homeowner Nathan Will, was selected as this year’s winner.

Will's creative decorating concept earned him a $50 Enjoy Brookfield gift card, which can be used at any Brookfield business. His front yard display featured deer and Christmas trees made from wood and adorned with lights, following an "upcycling" theme.

"Using wood from my neighbor’s old fence (permission given), I upcycled a few reindeer and trees. Then I added lights to highlight the rustic forest animals,” Will explained.

Elaine Jans, Chairperson of the Beautification Commission, praised all participants and thanked her fellow commissioners for their efforts in selecting Will's display as the 2024 champion.

"On behalf of the Beautification Commission, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Holiday Home Decorating Contest,” Jans stated. “Your creativity and holiday spirit truly brightened our community! A special thank you to my fellow commissioners for their time and dedication in selecting this year's winner. Together, we are making Brookfield a more beautiful place to call home."
