Starting January 2, 2025, the Village of Riverside will implement a surcharge on all credit card transactions. The surcharge will be set at 2.95% with a minimum fee of $1.95 per transaction. Payments made through ACH or eCheck will not incur any additional fees and will continue to be processed without charge.
According to the announcement, "The surcharge goes directly to the payment processor and is not collected by the Village." Residents who wish to avoid this cost are encouraged to use ACH (auto pay) or eCheck payment options.
The Village stated, "We appreciate your understanding as we strive to manage resources responsibly while maintaining excellent service to the community." For further inquiries or assistance, residents can contact the Finance Department at (708) 447-2700.
