Proviso Township Board met Oct. 16

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

2. ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. and on a roll call

The following responded present: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Chase, and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present was Attorney Durkin.

Trustee Thomas was absent.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on October 7, 2024.

Ayes: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Chase, and Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee Thomas

Motion Carried

5. APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Christopher moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for October 1, 2024 – October 15, 2024.

Ayes: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Chase, and Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee Thomas

Motion carried

6. ATTORNEY’S REPORT

Tax Levy estimate should be looked at and submitted to the Board by November 4th.

None

8. OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants. Handyman monthly report and Government highlights were in packets. Triton College Foundation President’s Reception honoring Don Harmon and Chris Welch. All Trustees are invited.

E. Staff Report – None

9. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

10. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

None

11. ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Chase, that the Board of Trustees adjourn the meeting at 5:45 p.m.
