The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a forecast for heavy rains overnight, accompanied by gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms.

Public Works staff are actively working to remove leaves from curbsides and clear storm drains throughout the Village. However, they may not reach all areas before the anticipated rainfall. Residents are encouraged to assist by clearing leaves from nearby storm drains to help prevent street flooding. It is advised not to place additional leaves at the curb until after the rain subsides and to remove chrysanthemums and pumpkins, which are not allowed.
