The Village of Riverside has engaged Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL) to conduct a comprehensive pavement evaluation study and update the Village's Street Data Base. The initiative aims to establish a 10-year street program designed to maintain the integrity of local roads using various construction maintenance techniques.
The study involved a detailed visual inspection of every street in the village to determine their current Pavement Condition Index (PCI) ratings. This report compares the Village's overall PCI rating for 2024 with previous assessments from 2014, analyzing average annual expenditures during these periods. It also offers recommendations for annual roadway pavement maintenance and rehabilitation programs over a ten-year period.
"The Village's current Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value of 75 (Good) emphasizes the dedication and attention the Village has made to their street network investment to this point," according to the report.
For those interested in reviewing the full findings, the complete study is available under "Pavement Evaluation Study."
