On Monday evening, the Winston-Salem Police Department (WSPD) was called to investigate a potential safety threat reported by students at McClure Junior High School. After completing their investigation, the WSPD deemed that there was no credible threat to staff, students, or the community.

"The safety of our schools and community is our top priority," said a WSPD spokesperson. "We continue to work with School District officials to ensure a safe and supportive environment."
