Cook County has announced the release of its Community Voices Survey, inviting residents and workers to participate between August 1 and September 13, 2024. The survey aims to gather input on community priorities and concerns as part of the county's efforts to develop long-term programs funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Since the pandemic, ARPA has been instrumental in funding various community programs. However, this funding is set to conclude in 2026. The survey results will play a crucial role in determining which programs should continue receiving support beyond 2027.
"Responses to the survey will help Cook County learn more about your priorities and concerns," stated a county representative. "The results from this survey will inform the development of the County's long-term ARPA programs."
Residents are encouraged to participate in shaping the future of their community by ranking which programs they believe should be sustained.
"We need your voice! Fill out this quick survey to rank which programs you believe Cook County should continue supporting in 2027 and beyond," urged another official.
The survey can be accessed at Community Voices Survey | Cook County - American Rescue Plan (cookcountyil.gov).
