Brookfield will celebrate Independence Day with a parade and a party in the park on Thursday, July 4. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade starting from Garfield Avenue, proceeding down Grand Boulevard through Eight Corners and downtown to Brookfield Avenue, before heading east to the Village Hall.
Following the parade, residents are invited to Kiwanis Park at 8820 Brookfield Ave. for the annual Party in the Park. The event will feature food and drink available for purchase and live entertainment from two bands. At 12:30 p.m., local favorite The Redmonds will perform, followed by the country music band Whiskeyfist at 3:30 p.m.
The community is encouraged to participate in this day of patriotic family fun.
