Cicero residents are being urged to purchase their vehicle stickers online to avoid long lines at Town Hall. The Town Collector, Fran Reitz, emphasized the convenience of online purchases, noting that it saves time and hassle compared to visiting in person.
"This is the last week to buy your Cicero vehicle sticker and you can purchase it online, which is much better than coming to town hall, finding parking, coming into the building and waiting in line," said Reitz. "All you need is your vehicle information, upload a picture of your registration and insurance. It’s real easy."
The deadline for online purchases is June 30th. Seniors, disabled residents, and veterans can bypass the lines by walking up to window eight at Town Hall. Alternatively, residents can drop off their application and required documents—copies of insurance and registration—at the Town’s dropbox or send them via mail postmarked by June 30th.
Town Hall will be open on Saturday, June 29th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., but long lines are expected. Reitz reiterated the benefits of purchasing stickers online: "The best thing to do is purchase your vehicle sticker online instead of coming here and waiting in line."
Reitz also discussed the vehicle sticker program and services for seniors during an interview with Channel 6 Cicero TV.
