Proviso Township Board met May 15

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

2. ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. and on a roll call

The following responded present: Trustees Thomas, Chavez, Chase, and Supervisor Corrigan. Also present were Attorney Durkin and Assessor Zawaski.

Trustee Christopher attended the meeting via audio conference.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Chase, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on May 6, 2024.

Nays: None

Absent: Clerk Williams

5. APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Thomas moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for May 1, 2024 – May 15, 2024.

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants. Written Supervisor’s Report. Proviso Municipal League Dinner and 103rd Illinois General Assembly report.

B. Clerk’s Report – None

C. Trustee’s Report – None

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – Lorenzo Webber, Youth Services Director handed out Youth Services report. Lorenzo reported Westdale Gardens flooding and cars being parked on property.

9. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

B. Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board Approve and Authorize the Township Clerk to Make the Tentative Budget and Appropriation Ordinance Available for Public Inspection, and to Publish Notice of a Public Hearing to be held on June 18, 2024
