Proviso Township Board met May 6

1) CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of theTownship Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162 on Monday, May 6, 2024.
2) ROLL CALL
Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:36 p.m. on a roll call the following responded: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez and Supervisor Corrigan.
Also present were Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, and Attorney Durkin Jr., Trustee Chase attended the meeting via audio conference.
3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on April 17, 2024.

5) APPROVAL OF BILLS
Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for April 16, 2024 – April 30, 2024

A. Supervisor’s Report – Warrants for March 2024. Handyman report for April 2024 given to Trustees for review. 103 General Assembly report provided.
B. Clerk’s Report – Birth and Death revenue reported
C. Trustee’s Report – None
D. Elected Officials Report – Assessor Zawaski advised the Board appeals are open for six weeks from August 9th – September 20th, 2024. Normally appeals are open for 30 days. No reason given.
E. Staff Report – None
9) NEW BUSINESS
A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.
None
B. Trustee Chase moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher, that the Board approve a resolution authorizing the Township Supervisor to hire a part-time employee for the Proviso Township Transportation department.
