Communications:
Fire Chief Stewart: All portions of the lieutenant's exam have been completed except the written exam. The written exam will be held on January 29, 2024. Once the results are received, they will be sent out. The scores up to date will be sent to Dinorah Rangel for our records. The final list will be available at the beginning of February. The testing for new candidates started during the month of December. Twelve candidates took the written exam, three failed, and nine passed. Three candidates are questionable as their application did not indicate if they are paramedics. If they are paramedics, they can continue and if they are going to become paramedic sometime in January, we can interview them. Dinorah will contact them and determine if they are paramedics and if they are they will be interviewed for oral along with the other candidates that passed. Interviews will be held on Sunday, January 14th at 9:00 am and 9: 30 am, by Commissioner Maritza Souchet, Commissioner Irene Herrera, and Commissioner Guillermo Rios. Depending on how many candidates are interviewed will determine if interviews are done in two groups of three to four or one group of 6.
Police Chief Mike Witz: Melissa Figueroa started the Cook County Sheriff's police academy today. The third candidate Marisa Ciccola accepted a position with the Itasca Police Department.
