Dominican Fall on The Road
The Dominican University men's volleyball team went on the road to face conference foe Benedictine University for the Stars third game in four nights.
Results:
Benedictine: 3
Dominican: 1
How it Happened:
-Dominicans had more kills then the Eagles with 11, but also had game high 10 errors.
-The Stars tightened up the errors only committing 6 of them, and had 10 kills on 20 attempts.
-DU won the third must win set 25-23 recording team high 14 kills.
-Dominican continued to battle in the fourth set, but fell short 25-13.
-Dominican had 8 aces as a team.
Shining Stars:
-Junior Tanner Dahman led the team with 10 kills, and 3 aces.
-Sophomore Owen Morrow and Freshman David Valdez each had 14 assists.
-Senior Jarod Hesse had a nice night defensively leading the team in digs.
-Senior Jacob Bush and Freshman Ammar Brzovic each had 4 blocks.
Leading the Way:
Kills: Dahman (10)
Aces: Dahman (3)
Blocks: Bush, Brzovic (4)
Assists: Morrow, Valdez (14)
Digs: Hesse (8)
What's Next:
The Dominican University men's volleyball team will get a well deserved couple days off before hosting Carthage College Thursday March 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
