2. MR. JOHNSON ANNOUNCED THE VILLAGE AND AMERICAN LEGION POST 974 WILL BE HOSTING THE VETERAN’S DAY SERVICE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2022 AT 11:00AM
AND SEWER/FLEET MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE (Ms. Avitia, Chair)
1. MS. AVITIA REPORTED THE MAIN ELEVATED TANK REHABILITATION IS COMPLETE AND THE TANK IS BACK IN FULL SERVICE
2. MS. AVITIA REPORTED 2 MAIN BREAKS
3. MS. AVITIA REPORTED 16 STREET DRAINS WERE INSPECTED, 7 DRAINS NEED CLEANING, 4 DRAINS REBUILT, 3 MANHOLES REBUILT, 2 SINK HOLES NEED REPAIRS, AND LAST WEEKS RAIN EVENTS AVERAGE 0.8"
4. MS. AVITIA REPORTED TAFT LIFT STATION PUMP 1 IS BEING REBUILT, CURRENTLY IT IS RUNNING ON 1 PUMP

1. IN MR. RUHL'S ABSENSE, MR. YBARRA REPORTED IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO 2,829 CALLS FOR SERVICE, ISSUED 431 PARKING CITATIONS, ISSUED 37 LOCAL CITATIONS, ISSUED 412 STATE CITATIONS, MADE 100 ARRESTS, CONDUCTED 831 TRAFFIC/PEDESTRIAN STOPS, REVIEWED 100 HIGH GRASS/WEEDS COMPLAINTS, AND ISSUED 1 CITATION FOR HIGH GRASS/WEEDS
D. STREETS, ALLEYS AND FLEET MAINTENANCE (Mr. Ybarra, Chair)
1. MR. YBARRA REPORTED SEVERAL TRUCKS WERE TAKEN TO FLEET FOR WINTER PREPERATION
2. MR. YBARRA REPORTED 15 LOCATIONS OF HOT PATCHED WERE DONE
3. MR. YBARRA REPORTED SEVERAL POTHOLES ON KING STREET AND WOLF ROAD WERE COLD PATCHED
4. MR. YBARRA REPORTED BRANCH COLLECTION WAS COMPLETED AND 1 DEAD TREE WAS REMOVED ON ACORN STREET FOR THE FRANKLIN PROJECT
5. MR. YBARRA REPORTED 3 TV'S WERE PICKED UP, SNOW PLOWS ARE BEING PREPPED, 1 DEAD ANIMAL WAS PICKED UP AND VILLAGE GARBAGE CANS WERE EMPTIED TWICE A WEEK, AND ROUTES AND MAINS HAVE BEEN SWEPT
E. PROPERTY, PLANNING, ZONING, AND BUILDING COMMITTEE (Ms. Special, Chair)
1. MS. SPECIAL REPORTED 38 CONTRACTORS APPLIED FOR LICENSES, 70 BUILDING PERMITS, 14 ELECTRICAL PERMITS, 1 SIGN PERMITS, 3 DUMPSTER PERMIT AND 2 FIRE PERMITS WERE APPLIED FOR A TOTAL OF 90 PERMITS. SHE ANNOUNCED 11 PROPERTY CLOSINGS FOR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL, 3 NEW BUSINESS APPLIED FOR OCCUPANCY AND 5 NEW BUSINESSES WERE ISSUED OCCUPANCY CERTIFICATES
F. HUMAN RESOURCES, SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND SENIOR SERVICES COMMITTEE (Mr. Hagerstrom, Chair)
1. MR. HAGERSTROM STATED THE VILLAGE WILL BE HOSTING A SENIOR HEALTH FAIR ON OCTOBER 21, 2021 FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM. THIS IS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CLERK'S OFFICE HOSTING THE SECRETARY OF STATE'S MOBILE CLINIC. OSCO WILL BE ONSITE TO PROVIDE FLU SHOTS
2. MR. HAGERSTROM ANNOUNCED TRICK OR TREAT HOURS WILL BE ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 31ST FROM 3PM TO 7PM

IX. COMMENTS FROM THE CLERK: Clerk Arellano announced she had completed 3 years of Municipal Clerks of Illinois Institute and was elected to be District 2 Director for Municipal Clerks of Illinois. She thanked the board for the opportunity to further her education to better serve the residents of Franklin Park
X. COMMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT: Mayor Pedersen stated that on Saturday, October 15, 2022, he had lunch with U.S.
State Senator Tammy Duckworth and Clerk Arellano at Pescatore Palace in the Andrea Bocelli room
