Proviso Township Board met Sept. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1) CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Town Trustees of the Town of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162.

2) ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m. and on a roll call the following responded present: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Herrell, Supervisor Corrigan, Clerk Williams, and Attorney Durkin.

3) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes of the Township Board Meeting held on August 17, 2022.

Ayes: Trustees Christopher, Chavez, Herrell, Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee Thomas

Motion carried

5) APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for August 16, 2022 – August 31, 2022

Nays: None

Absent: Trustee Thomas

6) ATTORNEY’ REPORT

Under New Business the Board is approving the hiring of two drivers. Cook County wants to partner with the Township and participate in a Drug Take Back program. Attorney Durkin revised the agreement and we are awaiting their response.

7) CLOSED SESSION

None

8) OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants approved. Nice letter from a resident Gladys Finley about the wonderful senior event she attended. Handyman report was discussed. The Way Back Inn gave recognition for our support. The event will be held September 9 @ 6pm. All are welcome to attend. Supervisor Mike Corrigan is being honored at the event.

9) NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

B. Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees

Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Township Supervisor to Hire Two part-time employees for the Proviso Township Transportation Department
