Proviso Township Board met Feb. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162.

2. ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. and on a roll call The following responded present: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell, Supervisor Corrigan, and Assessor Zawaski. Also, present were Attorney Durkin and Clerk Williams.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes to the Township Board Meeting held on February 7, 2022. Roll Call Vote #1

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion Carried

5. APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for February 1, 2022 – February 15, 2022. Roll Call Vote #2

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried

6. ATTORNEY’S REPORT

Annual Town Meeting scheduled for April 12, 2022

7. CLOSED SESSION

8. OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants. Transportation report for 2021. Discuss renewal on Progress Center for Independent Living

B. Clerk’s Report – None

C. Trustee’s Report – Trustee Thomas distributed 2500 masks to the Township. Trustee Herrell praised Richella Jackson for a great report.

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – None

9. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

B. Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board approves a Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Grant Agreement by and Between Proviso Township and the Progress Center for Independent Living

C. Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Christopher that the Board approves a Resolution Authorizing the Township Supervisor to Hire up to Three Part-time Employees for the Proviso Township Transportation Department
