City of Northlake Finance & Rules Committee of the Whole met Jan. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Alderman Straube

Alderman Feldmann

Alderman Contreras

Alderman Johnson

Alderman Gonzalez

Alderman Grochowski

Alderman Patti

ABSENT: Alderman Garcia

OTHERS PRESENT: Norm Nissen, Chief Of Police

Carol Lampard, Finance Director

Tony Faciano, Superintendent Public Works

The committee reviewed the minutes of the December 20, 2021 meeting. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 20, 2021 meeting; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. Alderman Gonzalez abstained. The minutes were approved.

Mayor Sherwin presented the Warrants and Vouchers. Alderman Patti made a motion to pay the Warrants and Vouchers; seconded by Alderman Feldmann. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Under New Business:

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve the sale of two vehicles to be sold at auction. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Mayor Sherwin opened a discussion to approve Ordinance O-01-2022; An Ordinance Establishing an E-1 Liquor License Classification and Amending Title 3, Chapter 3 of the Northlake City Code. Alderman Patti made a motion to approve; seconded by Alderman Straube. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

There being no further business, Alderman Straube made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
