Report: Hillside School District spent $18,298 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hillside School District 93 was up 49.6 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,235 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,298 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 508 to 435 students over the same period.

Hillside's spending in 2019-20 was 26.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
