Women's Basketball Defeated by No. 23 Wisconsin Lutheran

Dominican University issued the following announcement on Jan. 15

Dominican University's women's basketball team fell to Wisconsin Lutheran College at home on Saturday afternoon 59-40 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play.

DU held a one-point lead after the opening quarter and trailed the 23rd-ranked Warriors by a 24-22 score at the break. WLC stretched its advantage, however, in the final two frames, securing the 19-point victory to remain undefeated.

Alisha Markley knocked down three triples on her way to a team-high 19 points in 37 minutes. Sophia Warner contributed eight points on the offensive end, adding three rebounds, one block and one steal.

The Stars travel to Edgewood on Tuesday, Jan. 18 for a 7 p.m. tip-off. Links to live coverage will be available via dustars.com.
