Report: Lyons School District spent $18,496 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lyons Township High School District 204 was up 10.5 percent from five years ago, according to the West Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,735 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,496 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,046 to 3,990 students over the same period.

Lyons's spending in 2019-20 was 27.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
