Oak Partk-River Forest Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 16

‘Tis the season, and Madison Street Theater is excited to announce a full month of Holiday shows including: Holiday Kick Off on December 4th at 5:00PM, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr December 17-19, and Legacy in Concert to ring in the New Year on December 31. 

Holiday Kick Off on December 4th at 6:00PM - in partnership with Downtown Oak Park’s Winterfest+Cookie Walk taking place earlier that afternoon. After filling cookie tins and bellies with hot chocolate all afternoon downtown, join MST at 5:00PM for an evening of music performance, storytelling, and sing-alongs on our main stage. Musical guests will include Oak Park River Forest High School Show Choir Noteworthy and The Caroling Party, who will lead a sing-along for the audience to participate in the joy of the season! John Paulett will invite the audience in for readings of the holiday stories of yore. And at the end of the night, Santa Claus himself will be paying the theater a visit for pictures with everyone in the audience. Tickets are  $8 for adults and $5 for children and go on sale on Friday, November 12th at madisonstreettheater.org/events

Ovation Academy For The Performing Arts Presents: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr Dec 17-19 - Madison Street Theater’s resident company, Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts, invites the whole family to the much beloved classic spectacle Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer on December 17th at 7:00PM, December 18th at 3:00PM and 7:00PM, and 19th at 3:00PM. This claymation classic is brought to life on MST’s main stage with all the songs you know and love, including the classic tunes “Silver and Gold”, “We’re a Couple of Misfits” and, of course, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. Ovation has expanded the age range of this production to include students and performers of all ages, making this a unique holiday experience that you don’t want to miss! Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children and are on sale at ovationacademy.org/shows-tickets

Legacy in Concert December 31 Doors Open at 8:30PM - Ring in the new year with Madison Street Theater and MST’s esteemed guest performer, Legacy! Legacy is a male vocal group composed of performers with credits ranging from Broadway to arena shows and television. They’ll take you through the decades, starting with old school genres of music like Doo Wop, Motown, and Disco & transitioning to the new age sounds of Pop, R&B and hip-hop. Whether you grew up listening to The Beatles, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons or Boyz 2 Men and Bruno Mars, Legacy has something for everyone. Tickets $85 per person or $150 per couple, on sale Wednesday, December 1 at madisonstreettheater.org/events

All performances at Madison Street Theater are currently following the following health and safety guidelines:

1. Universal Masking is required for all attendees during events
2. Attendees age 12 and up: proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test within the past 72 hours
3. Attendees under 12: COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged but not required at this point in time
