Fenwick, Nazareth, St. Patrick advance to IHSA football quarterfinals

Of the 64 teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) quarterfinals next weekend, three are from West Cook County.

In 5A, No. 2 Oak Park (Fenwick) (9-2) will play at No. 14 LaGrange Park (Nazareth Academy) (7-4) at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Also in 5A, No. 13 Chicago (St. Patrick) (7-4) plays at No. 9 Sycamore (H.S.) (8-3) starting at 2 p.m. Saturday.

This is St. Patrick’s first quarterfinals appearance in school history.

Fenwick last advanced to the state quarterfinals (7A) in 2016, defeating Jacobs (Algonquin) 28-21. 

Nazareth has advanced to the state quarterfinals in five of the past six seasons, winning three state titles and earning two runner-up twice.

#13 Chicago (St. Patrick) (7-4) at #9 Sycamore (H.S.) (8-3), Sat., Nov. 13, 2 p.m.
