After beating Morgan Park on Friday night, the Fenwick High School varsity football team got up early Saturday to join the Oak Park Catholic school's sophomore and freshman teams move furniture for Our Lady of Angels.

The furniture was donated to the Franciscan Sisters by the Cenacle Sisters.

The players loaded the furniture into two trailers at the Cenacle Sisters Retreat and Conference Center in Chicago. The players then caught up with the trailers at the Mission of Our Lady of Angels in Humboldt Park and unloaded the furniture.

Led by varsity head coach Matt Battaglia, the Friars (1-0) next take to the field at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at home against Notre Dame.

The day was organized by assistant freshman football coach Arnie Gough.
