Proviso Township Board of Trustees met March 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Proviso met at the Office of the Township Clerk, 4565 Harrison Street, Hillside, IL 60162.

2. ROLL CALL

Supervisor Corrigan called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. and on a roll call The following responded via audio conference: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell. Also, physically present were Supervisor Corrigan, Clerk Williams, Assessor Zawaski, and Attorney Durkin.

3. DECLARATION by Supervisor that, pursuant to Public Act 101-0640, an in-person meeting is not practical or prudent because of the COVID-19 disaster declaration by Governor Pritzker.

4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Supervisor Corrigan led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Trustee Chavez moved, seconded by Trustee Herrell that the Board of Trustees approve the minutes to the Township Board Meeting held on March 1, 2021.

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion Carried

6. APPROVAL OF BILLS

Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Thomas that the Board of Trustees approve payment of the bills submitted for March 1, 2021 – March 15, 2021.

Ayes: Trustees Thomas, Christopher, Chavez, Herrell and Supervisor Corrigan

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried

7. ATTORNEY’S REPORT

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

8. CLOSED SESSION

None

9. OLD BUSINESS

A. Supervisor’s Report – No warrants.

B. Clerk’s Report – None

C. Trustee’s Report – Trustee Chavez told the board that Mayor Mazula is distributing 100 boxes of food every Tuesday and Friday. They are in contact via Facebook and city distribution. Lorenzo will work with Mary to help to spread the word.

D. Elected Officials Report – None

E. Staff Report – Lorenzo has received many calls from West Dale Gardens regarding loitering around the bar on the corner. The sheriff has been notified. A parent workshop was conducted this week on Sex and Drug Awareness.

10. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consideration to approve specific personnel matters requiring board action.

B. Trustee Herrell moved, seconded by Trustee Chavez that the Board of Trustees Motion to Approve an Amended Agenda for the Annual Town Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

11. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

None

11. ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Harrell moved seconded by Trustee Thomas that the Board of Trustees adjourns the meeting at 5:47 p.m.
