CITY OF BERWYN: Municipal Officers Electoral Board Of The City Of Berwyn, Illinois

City of Berwyn issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor of the State of Illinois’ declaration of an emergency, while this hearing is scheduled as an in-person hearing, the Municipal Officers Electoral Board of the City of Berwyn reserves the right to hold this hearing and all future hearings via electronic methods, if necessary, notice of which will be given on the City of Berwyn’s website. All persons attending the hearing in-person are required to wear a face mask at all times while in the building and will further be subject to strict social distancing (6 feet separation).

City staff will stream this meeting and hearing live using Facebook. Please go to the City of Berwyn Facebook page to view. Any person wishing to submit comments electronically for the public comment for this meeting or future meetings and hearings may do so in writing, by e-mail, or by telephone. Your comments will be announced during the public comment section of the meeting. You may submit your comments to the electoral board attorney at jaworski@dlglawgroup.com. All comments received by 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2021 will be announced at this meeting and hearing.

3. Introduction of and seating of Public Member Chris Cohen as a Member of the Municipal Officers Electoral Board of the City of Berwyn.

4. Hearings on Objections – Anthony L. Gentile v. Jose Ramirez – Case No. 21 MOEB-ALDERMAN 2

a. Hearing on Motion to Strike and Dismiss filed by Respondent-Candidate

b. Evidentiary Hearing, if necessary

5. Scheduling Orders, if necessary.

6. Public Comment.

7. Recess/Adjournment.
