City of Northlake City Council met Dec. 7.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Aldermen Straube, Contreras, Garcia, Johnson, Gonzalez, Grochowski And Patti
PRESENT VIA CONFERENCE BRIDGE: Alderman Feldmann
OTHERS PRESENT: Mark Sterk, Attorney

Mayor Sherwin presented the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 16, 2020. Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the minutes of the city council meeting held on November 16, 2020; seconded by Alderman Gonzalez. Mayor Sherwin asked if there were any additions or corrections. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 16, 2020 CITY COUNCIL MEETING CARRIED
Alderman Patti made a motion to accept the warrants and vouchers; seconded by Alderman Grochowski. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE WARRANTS AND VOUCHERS CARRIED
Mayor Sherwin stated that unless it is necessary, there will not be a second meeting in December as a COVID precautionary measure. The next two meetings would then be on Monday, January 11 and Monday, February 8 (both months having only one meeting because of federal holidays). Mayor Sherwin stated all infrastructure projects are finishing up before winter sets in. He wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Alderman Straube made a motion to approve the 2021 dates for City Council meetings. Mayor Sherwin called for a voice vote. All were in favor. The motion carried.

Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Ordinance O-16-2020; An Ordinance Adopting the Annual Budget for Calendar Year 2021 for the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Patti. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.

MOTION TO APPROVE ORDINANCE O-16-2020; AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 FOR THE CITY OF NORTHLAKE, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS CARRIED
Alderman Straube made a motion to approve Ordinance O-17-2020; An Ordinance for the Levy and Assessment of 2020 Taxes Paid in the Year Beginning January 1, 2021 and Ending December 31, 2021 for the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois; seconded by Alderman Patti. It was noted there is no tax increase from the city for the third year in a row. Mayor Sherwin called for the roll. All were in favor. The motion carried.
