City of Countryside issued the following announcement on July 9.
As part of a burglary investigation which began on July 8th, 2020 our officers have recovered property that is believed to have been taken from homes in the area that is bordered by Brainard Avenue to the east, Golfview Drive to the west, south of Joliet Road, and north of 71st Street. It is likely that these items were taken from garages and sheds in the area and homeowner's may not yet be aware that their property was stolen.
We are asking that residents living in the area check their yards, garages, and sheds to see if they have been the victim of a theft or a burglary. If you find that you may be the victim of one of these incidents, please contact us at 708-352-2171 to make a report and to assist us with returning the recovered property to it's owners.
