Analysis: Broadview pays $5.43 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Broadview Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.5 percent of the $1,643,253 the Broadview Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.43 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Broadview contributed $1,388,241 to the fund, which saw a $310,011 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $255,311, or 15.5 percent, in 2018.
